Ellis graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy, earning distinction, from Otago University in 2019. After completing his studies, he worked in Wellington for two and a half years before returning to his hometown of Lake Wanaka to enjoy the snow and sun
In Wellington, Ellis worked in a sports medicine clinic, treating a diverse range of clients, including athletes at various levels. He has worked with the Wellington College First XV rugby team and is currently the physiotherapist for the Upper Clutha RAM’s Rugby team. Additionally, Ellis has served as the physiotherapist for the USA Women’s Technical Ski Team and is part of the Snow Sports New Zealand traveling physiotherapy team
As a skier, golfer, and water sports enthusiast, along with a lifelong background in rugby, Ellis has a deep understanding of the injuries that often occur in sports and recreational activities. His passion for sports has also led him to personally experience time away from the field due to injuries
