Ginny has 40 years of experience in private practise and is the owner of Wanaka Physiotherapy.
Her undergraduate studies were carried out in Dunedin and postgraduate education involved studying Sports Medicine at Curtin University in Australia, then returning to New Zealand to complete a postgraduate in manipulative therapy.
Ginny led the Physiotherapy Team at the Winter Olympics 2002 to 2018 and has just returned from the successful 2022 Olympics in China. This has been a long campaign over 6 Olympic cycles with the current success representing the years of work put in by Snow Sports NZ.
Ginny continues a long-term role travelling with the USA Alpine Men’s team into 2022 having worked with their podium athletes for the past 10 years.
Ginny is a provider for High Performance Sports New Zealand and has been the grateful recipient of four Prime Minister’s’ scholarships to study and attend Worldwide conferences to promote safety and performance in winter sports.
Ginny has trained as an ImPACT concussion management physiotherapist working both privately and as a provider of ACC’s concussion rehabilitation service.
Recently Wanaka physiotherapy has gained ACC contracts to rehabilitate the ACL and Post injury OA knee. These are exciting initiatives moving into the 2022.
