INGE BAHLE

Diploma in Physiotherapy (Germany), Masters in Physiotherapy from Otago University, researching acute knee injuries; Post graduate Diploma in MDT and Postgraduate Diploma in Health Science, emphasis in Rehabilitation, both through Otago University.

Special interests:

Concussion & Vestibular problems; Dance injuries; Differential diagnosis and treatment of back and neck injuries and associated shoulder or hip pain.
Inge has over 30 years of experience in the field of Musculoskeletal and Sports Medicine. Originally from Germany, she graduated in 1988 and ever since up-skilled through postgraduate studies in Germany, the U.S. Otago University here in New Zealand and the International McKenzie Institute. She was the physiotherapy service provider for the Royal New Zealand Ballet for over 10 years and for 12 years owned and operated Te Aro Physiotherapy in Central Wellington, before moving to Wanaka in 2016 to enjoy a better life/work balance.

Inge holds a diploma and Masters Qualification in the McKenzie Method®, also known as Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy®, a clinical classification system that helps diagnose spinal and peripheral joint problems and finds matching treatment and self-management. It combines hands-on manipulative therapy with tailored exercise prescription and education so problems can not only be solved, but stopped from recurring.

Within the clinic Inge has a keen interest in concussion and associated symptoms and is one of the concussion service providers at Wanaka Physiotherapy. She also is the clinical supervisor for 4th year physiotherapy students from Otago University. Her special interests include: Concussion & Vestibular problems; Dance injuries, Differential diagnosis and treatment of back and neck injuries – the more complicated, the better.

Outside of work, Inge can be found running or walking in the mountains.
